 WALT write a poem using a haiku structure

I learned to make a haiku poem

I achieved my goal because my haiku poem was about snow and I think it is good

Here is my haiku poem:

snow is very fun

snow is like a paper cut

snow is very cold

WALT create a mosaic picture using pastel and
Indian ink.

I learned to use pastel

Here is an example of my learning: we used pastel and chalk.

Next time I will use more colour

My Mihi

WALT   introduce ourselves in Maori.

I learned... to pronounce words correctly in Maori.

My best sentence is No reira, tena koutou  tena koutou tena koutou katoa.

I achieved my goal because I can say the words properly.

My next step is to say the words without looking.

Reading/literacy

WALT: understand and use new vocabulary/words

I learned about the wind power

I achieved my goal because use new vocabulary/words correctly in sentences

Next time I will use more sentences to explain new word.

ANZAC writing

WALT write a diary entry using specific vocabulary.

I learned to write more than 2 sentences.

My best sentence is: We were hiding in trenches and were camouflaged.

I achieved my goal because I used interesting words.

Next time I will try to use the sounds I can hear in my spelling.

Cross Country

WALT run 1.5km for cross country.

I learned to run 1.5km in 20 minutes.

I  achieved my goal because I came 8th.

Next time i will aim for 1st.

T4 Art

WALT : accurately draw the shape of a bird, paint the bird using the correct colours, create a realistic background

Success Criteria

Narrative Writing

WALT: Write a made up story using many adjectives to make it more interesting for the reader.

Success Criteria: That the reader enjoys the story and provides feedback to me on how I can make improvements.

WALT: To follow instructions that are easy for the reader to follow.

SUCCESS CRITERIA: I will know I have achieved the WALT when people can play Tricky Tag correctly using my instructions.

T4 Maths - Multiplication

WALT: use maths equipment to show what a multiplication (times) equation looks like

*I can say that x (times) means GROUPS OF or LOTS OF
*I can say how many lots of there are
*My equipment shows the correct number of groups
*I can skip count on the equipment to solve the problem
I know that 3x5 looks different to 5x3 with equipment

"My equipment shows 2 lots of 5 (2x5)".
